NYE Party Update

Hey guys, we’ve had a ton of people contacting us in the past 24 hours so we wanted to clarify how entry for the party works:

If you have not rsvp’d or you received an auto-reply email saying that “Pre-Registration is closed” you will not get into this party unless you stop by much later in the night. We have to honor reservations through 1am or until the space fills up, whichever comes first. If you email us now asking to come to the party we have to tell you the same thing that is being said here. If you show up early and try to get in without a reservation you’ll unfortunately have to wait outside in the cold for a long time. We’re very sorry for this but Irish Times has a limited capacity and we need to be sure that anyone who did RSVP gets into the party first. We originally planned on having a standby line, but we will not be letting anyone from the standby line in until much later on in the night.

If you DID RSVP in time and received an email confirming your reservation, don’t sweat this long-winded update! However, we do recommend getting there early still (doors open at 9:30 tonight).

So if you did not rsvp in time, we recommend investigating backup plans if you have any or trying to stop by much later in the night. Corinne Fisher is hosting a similar party at 34th and 1st ave at the Pine Tree Lodge. You can email her at SorryAboutLastNightShow@gmail.com to find out if there is still any space available. It’s a bummer that we have to limit access to the party like this but the response to the party far exceeds the capacity for the venue.

ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR NYE (PLEASE READ AND TELL PEOPLE):

We are officially booked on reservations for this party. If you didn’t reserve a spot, we’re really sorry! Irish Times is the biggest place we could find on such short notice to hold a party for NYE. It holds a LOT of people but this community definitely goes well beyond their maximum occupancy.

For those of you who rsvp’d:

Get there early! The party starts at 9:30. Pre-registering doesn’t guarantee you entry BUT everyone who pre-registered before the cut off and got a confirmation email should get in without issue.

If you made extra reservations that you no longer need, email us asap and let us know! We’d love to get everyone who wants to be there into the party.

Drink specials! $4 bud light, coors and killians. $6 well drinks all night long.

Once again, we’re really sorry for those of you who won’t be able to get in. The response to this party was overwhelming and we did what we could under the circumstances.

For those of you who will be there, you’re going to have a great time. We’ll see you tomorrow night. Shaun Diston wants all of your midnight kisses.

Hey guys!

Tesla’s next show is May 5th, or Cinco de Mayo, and in honor of this holiday, we are hosting a show made up entirely of 5 minute sets. So if you’d like to perform something, we’d like to know about it. We’re looking for improv, sketch, music, dance, poetry, anything. Big teams, small teams, bit teams, you name it.

Did you have a hilarious DCM bit show idea that can’t fill a full 15 minutes but would be perfect for 5? This is your show. Want to do a 5 minute pattern game? Let us know. Want to make a 15 person team and do only three line scenes? It’s yours. Seriously, we’re open to anything.

Just send your submissions to teslaimprov@gmail.com with “Cinco de Mayo Lab” in the title and we’ll let you know in about a week what the final schedule is. Make sure to give us a full description along with your cast list and any tech requirements. All submissions must be received by Wednesday April 18th.
